IF GOD CAN SAVE ME, HE CAN SAVE ANYONE!

I have found that most gospel singers grew up in church. Either their Daddy was a preacher, or their family had a singing group. I am neither one of those.

I wasn't raised in church. I remember going to church a few times growing up on Easter, and I remember going to a couple of singings, but that's about the only memories I have of church. I never remember my Mama or Daddy reading the Bible even once. To me, it was nothing more than a decoration on our coffee table in the living room.

I tried to go to church in my twenties. I'd go, say the sinners prayer and leave. Back to the same life I was living with the alcohol and drugs. Nothing was different, so after a couple of months I quit going.

On December 18, 2006 my Daddy passed away and I had questions about the afterlife. I told my husband I wanted to go to church, and Dec. 31st we were in church. But once again, I went, I said the sinners prayer, and I went home. Still the same, but something kept us going back each week.

Then, on February 4, 2007, I got saved! During the invitation, I noticed a lady up front that her hands raised, her eyes closed, and I knew she had something I didn't have. And I wanted it! So, I prayed like I never prayed before. I told God if He was really real, I wanted to feel Him. I wanted to KNOW somehow that He did exist. Well, I can't really explain what happened after that, but the next thing I knew I was down the aisle in front of the preacher. The Bible tells us that we become new creatures in Christ, and even though I had said the sinners prayer several times in my life, (and if you had asked me I would've told you I was saved,) I know now that I didn't receive salvation until that moment. It was then that God took all the desires of the life I lived before away from me. It was then that I knew I wanted to learn all I could about Him and dedicate my life to serving Him. My years of singing in nightclubs were over and now I sing for GOD!

I'm not going to give you all the details of my life before God, but I will say this: I have broken eight of the ten commandments. And no, I'm not telling which ones. I tell you that because if God can get into my heart and change me like He did, He can and will do it for you! Just open up your heart and ask Him to come in.

It is my prayer that if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, that you will seek Him and His love. If you'd like someone to pray with you, feel free to contact me by phone or email.

May God Bless You,

Wanda Joy
